We decided to check out Centro to check out the new menu. Ordered about six to seven different items and everything was really good. Our top three were the hamachi crudo, octopus, and the artichoke special. Service was excellent and very attentive. We sat out in the patio area and it was well lit and comfortable. We'll definitely be back, really enjoyed the food selection and drinks were pretty good too!

I've driven by this restaurant for yearssss-- so I'm excited I finally got to try it with a group of friends! The location has an urban industrial vibe. I love the glass garage door opening that connects the street with the inside. The menu is small, but mighty. I especially liked that the menu already includes the tax in its pricing, so you know exactly what the bill will come out to be and it's a whole number! As a group of 5, we ordered 9 plates, 4 drinks, and 2 desserts. Our total came out to $244 (roughly $49 per person before tip) and we each left full! Our server was so kind and patient with us. We took 10 minutes solely deciding drinks and she was extremely accommodating! My top three dishes would have to be the octopus, NY strip, and fried artichoke hearts! The octopus was not chewy, the steak had an amazing crust, and the artichoke had the perfect amount of lemon. The other dishes were nice, but salmon was a bit too sweet, and the fries are great for a hangover-- but are rather heavy. As for drinks, we ordered 2 cocktails and 2 mocktails. The toasted pecan manhattan was personally too strong for my taste, but I like that they infuse the bourbon themselves! Currently, there are two dessert options to choose from and I'd recommend the panna cotta! The limoncello almond cake was delicious, but the sorbet on top took away from it in my opinion. Overall, we had an amazing time! It was a nice change of pace from the usual restaurants we go to and it's the perfect place to chit-chat. The dishes do not all come out at once- more so one after the other, so you are able to talk through all the rabbit holes of a conversation. Definitely recommended going with a small group!

Service is top notch here. 2 servers were very good about checking on us, delivering food, drinks and taking our orders. We sat at a high top.amd teally enjoyed the open kitchen view. Their menu is tapas style, but the portions are nice. We ordered the Lobster Ravioli, good with the pesto, but the lobster flavor gets lost. We also ordered the salmon, very good with the honey harissa glaze and salad, the chicken meatball, probably our favorite with the lemony polenta. The meatball was light and fluffy, very easily shared. We also got the fried artichoke hearts. The Aleppo sauce served with them was delicious, but the hearts themselves were a tad bland. The freaky fries were an interesting take, similar to a poutine, we liked the mustard cheese sauce on them and the sausage was amazing. And finally we got their dessert of the night which was delicious. It was a chocolate sponge cake with a Chinese 5 spice chocolate mousse on top served with a raspberry panacotta. Perfect blending of flavors. We tried 3 of their cocktails and all were so good and well presented.

Third or fourth visit to this establishment in the last 2+ years. I was here for a dinner meeting with a sales rep and walked in with out reservations on a Monday evening around 6. We were offered table seating or bar seating and opted for the table. I recognized the server from previous visits which is usually a good sign that the management is taking care of its people and that the server isn't afraid to work. I think this place has some of, if not the best cocktails in Reno. I ordered the toasted pecan manhattan for starters and later refreshed with a Sake blossom. This drink has a unique blend of sake and gin in sour mix that offsets the sweetness of the sake. Tasty to say the least. We ordered the grilled octopus which is one of my favorite dishes but it was a disappointment. 3 maybe 4 small bites of octopus that was a bit salty and overcooked amongst a bunch of bite sized chopped fingerling potatoes. Probably more appropriate to call this dish Potato & Octopus as the potatoes were the prevalent ingredient. The salmon and sticky ribs were incredible and definitely did not disappoint. The cold roasted beet salad is flavorful and presented like it came out of a 5 star restaurant. The Brussels are perfectly roasted and not overly seasoned. Delicious. Overall, a good experience. I think (as written in previous reviews) that the portion sizes are small for the prices they get. That's just my personal opinion. This is an expensive restaurant and probably I won't go here when I'm footing the bill but when a rep asks where to go, Centro is on the top five of the list.

Everything was great as always. Only bummer was short staffing. So it was slow and there is nothing that could be done about that minus additional staff. Our waitress did her best ( she's been the backbone of most of our visits) I did feel she was working a bit too hard compared to the rest staff. So we tried our best to help like ordering double drinks instead of single to shorten her commitment to us. Meatball yum. Ravioli pesto great. Artichoke love that it was very lightly fried (think clean like air fryer healthy) Salmon was good albeit a bit spicey( think by fluke with extra Chile pepper chunks) Steak was yum especially paired with the black garlic masted potatoes and roasted squash! Sake cocktail was perfect balanced cocktail pairing to mix with meal. There is apparently a new chef. I'm happy to say the food was on par with our many other visits ( we frequent this place as our favorite treat place) Feel maybe a couple new "Fresh" concepts would of made the seasonal menu change a tad bit more exciting. But nonetheless it was yum. Look forward to new chef bringing a bit of his own personality to table as well as keeping quality.

The food was very good. My favorite was the Brie and Pear Flatbread. Super yummy. The cauliflower was quite good, as was the Centro Salad. The drinks were yummy as well, very refreshing. I had the Royal Glow. The service was good, and the restaurant was clean, intimate, and comfortable. They also have cover outside seating, which looked very nice. We sat inside to be in air conditioning as it was in the high 90s when we went. I thought the dessert were small for the price, and they weren't my cup of tea. The lemoncillo almond cake was good, the others none of us at our table cared for too much. I would definitely go back and get the salad and the flatbread as those were highlights for me, oh and sit outside to get that experience.

I stopped here for a late dinner while waiting for a few friends to land at the Reno airport. I would definitely recommend. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating and the salmon dish that I had was really tasty. The ambiance is great, too with the restaurant being open-air and it was nice that it was off of the main street for a more peaceful setting.

If you are looking for a place to go for elevated small plates and a great cocktail, this is your spot. We love to come here and order a bunch of different things, because sharing is caring. Each plate is thoughtfully made and beautifully presented. They take simple ingredients and turn them into something special. Some of my favorites are Hamachi Crudo, roasted beets with whipped mascarpone, sticky ribs, and the grilled octopus. The artwork on the walls is fun and eclectic and the staff is so friendly.

Orders: Royal Glow | Espresso Martini | Lobster Ravioli | Centro Salad | Fried Artichoke Hearts | Al's Filthy Fries | Roasted Cauliflower | Probably an IPA I've been following new head chef Travis' cooking for a minute & this guy is TALENTED! I've heard friends and colleagues rave about Centro as an existing restaurant, and having recently moved back to Reno, I am thrilled to be a patron at a time where an old friend with tremendous creativity and talent is now an owner!!!! Everything was absolutely incredible from food to service to atmosphere & back again. I've been a bunch and look forward to being back for all the things, especially them Lobster Rav's - hubba, hubba!!

I am a big fan of tapas, I would always rather try 7 unique and interesting dishes over 1 hearty and mediocre dish. If you're someone who likes to chow down and needs a ton of food though, move along. Also, centro is all about the art of ordering properly. You can have a completely different experience if you don't order correctly (and add an extra item if you are 4 people). If you're someone who enjoys beautifully plated and presented food that tastes great you've come to the right spot. My only gripe is I miss the shrimp po'boy! Bring back the po'boy!! The sticky ribs are so succulent and yummy! The sauce is actually finger lickin good and the meat is so tender. My favorite bite of the day! I also enjoyed the arancini (elevated mozzarella sticks) and the burrata and heirloom tomato dish. The burrata and tomatoes were so fresh and full of flavor. I also liked the ahi tataki, the pickled onions and crunchy salad added great depth and texture. I loved the polenta in the meatball dish, meatball itself take it or leave it kind of meh but the polenta was a highlight! The yakitori skewers were delightful! Second best bite of the evening was the saucy fluffy rice with eel sauce. I practically licked my plate clean. I love centro for its creativity and for the fact that when I come it's never the same meal twice and it's always something fun and delightful!
